I took my big old beast of a laptop into the repair shop.
The keyboard was only working in certain area's.
I needed a new keyboard but due to the age of the machine it was going to be expensive and chances were that I would only get a second hand one anyway.
The blue screen of death keeps appearing.
It has 3 viruses and the fan was not working. It needed reformatting and a new fan.
Reformatting could be a problem as it was the original hard drive that was at least 8 years old.
It was a fairly large estimate for repairs.
I had the money for it, but if the hard drive needed replacing then I was going to be in big trouble.
I asked and he had a reconditioned laptop that he had been testing for 2 weeks.
It had a new hard drive and had been reformatted.
It was about 4 years newer than my old beast.
It had windows XP on it.
It was too good to be true so I bought it!!!!!!!
Now I am armed with a dongle and a new laptop.
My evenings will never be the same……..
