So, at six this morning, Scooter is worrying me to be let out for his early morning pee.

Up I get, open the cat flap, out he goes, and back to bed I stumble for another precious hour of sleep.

The alarm goes off, I wake and open my eyes. There is Vinnie, lying alongside me on the cat blanket, I look down towards my feet and there is Scooter all curled up and in the land of nod, I look between them, and there is Alfie!!!

I look at him, he opens his eyes, looks at me, looks at Scooter and then starts purring.

“What are you doing on my bed?” I ask him, and he leaps up, flies down the hallway and all I hear is the cat flap open and close.

Just as I am about to leave this morning, there is a commotion as the cat flap flies open, shuts, flies open again and closes.

I sit on the sofa and suddenly both my boys come flying into the lounge in a flurry of eyes, fur and manic chirping!

As I look down, the boys are both looking at me as if to say “Well, we know that Alfie managed to get in this morning, but look what we have for you”.

As I look past them I see the worlds biggest……………………….leaf lying on the carpet.

My cats, I tell you, what a pair!!!! Once I had finished laughing I just looked at them in despair. Useless at hunting, useless at keeping Alfie out, but my goodness they make me laugh.

I am feeling much better this week now, had a lovely meal round at my mates on Sunday which did me the world of good. Thursday I have a good drinking mate coming round for booze and food, and Saturday I have my lovely landlords round for a late lunch and wine drinking session!

I am positive that my wobble is over, and that I am getting back on the road to being my usual optimistic and happy self!!!

After all it could be worse…… I could be a leaf catcher!!!!!
