Well, Alfie has certainly kept me busy this week.
I have tried many different approaches to the problem, and can conclude that nothing appears to be working that well!!!!
I woohoo and clap as he slips through the cat flap, first time it worked, there after it was just a game.
I pick him as soon as his paws touched through the cat flap that scared him abit, but soon he just assumed that carrying was also a game.
I even, and this is sad, sat in front of the cat flap and every time he mad an attempt to get in, sprayed him with water.
I sat there for 2 hours, and then I realised what I was doing and asked myself….. What is happening to me? Why am I guarding my cat flap with a water pistol? This cannot be right, I am a grown woman and surely could find a better way to spend my time!!!!
So, I have just given up. He comes in, I ignore him, he wafts about for anything up to an hour, and then leaves.
If Vinnie and Scooter cannot be bothered to get him out the flat, then nor can I.
I really thought that cats were supposed to be very territorial, but this is not the case with my 2.
I have a really busy one today as I leave work at 1, drive back down to Eastbourne at 4, go to see mother briefly, go to a wedding reception of my best mates, then drive back home to Essex about 2 in the morning.
I am staying sober so that I can drive as I will be seeing people that I have not seen since I moved to Essex 2 and a half years ago. It will be exciting but I also abit nervous!!!
Whatever you are doing, have a great weekend and take care, keeping your brolly nearby just incase!!!
