Well, I am Almost At A Loss.....

by KACKERS @ Thursday, 31. May, 2007 - 12:23:14

as to what comment to make on the new all girl housemates!!!

I think that it will be an interesting experiment if the rumours are true and that only one male is going in on Friday!

I did love every minute that I watched though and already I feel addicted!!!!

What a mix of people eh?!!!!

My favourite line so far....... via Tracey - unlucky kentucky!!!!

So, here goes all my evenings for goodness knows how long by the looks of things.....!!

What did you think of it all?

Peace and Solitude

by KACKERS @ Wednesday, 30. May, 2007 - 09:07:36

Well, I looked myself in on Friday after getting home form work, and stayed there until I went back to work on Tuesday morning!!!!!!

I had a lovely 3 days, I did go out to potter and do bits, but I was mainly on my own and enjoying it!!!!

I had a good old spring clean of the flat, sorted bits and bobs out, moved bits and bobs and took some time out to chill.

I did not do much of a life laundry as I suspected that I would have been quite harsh and maybe regretted it at a later date! I have all the time in the world to go through years of memories in boxes.

I still have this snotty cold thing hanging about, I suspect it is more of a sinus thing now, but I will leave it till the end of the week to resolve itself.

I am going to admit that this evening I have planned my night around watching the live launch of Big Brother 2007. Morbid curiosity drives me to see what people are going to grace our newspapers and screens this time! Having said that, I have not bought a newspaper for years now, but you know what I mean.

So, come on, any other secret BB fans out there that want to admit that they will be glued to the telly tonight?!!!!!

Sorry For Lack Of Posts….

by KACKERS @ Friday, 25. May, 2007 - 09:20:54

I have been feeling somewhat off colour this week.

Started with snivels, went to raging ear ache and now has slipped into totally wiped out and listless!!!!

I am feeling a lot better now and have the 3 day weekend to look forward too.

I can feel a massive life laundry coming on as I feel like getting rid of loads of my old memories and crap from my past. I have also come to realise that I have enough clothes for several people, so I am going to sort out stuff to go to the charities and stuff to put on ebay!

Vinnie, after getting his fantastic results last week has now decided to go on a food strike and is having a “refusing to eat any wet food” phase. Luckily I have prescription biscuits that he can happily eat, but I need to get him back onto the wet food soon.

I am in the mood to have a quiet weekend of sorting stuff out and having a good spring clean in the flat.

I am in a deep and thoughtful phase, which can be dangerous for me, but sometimes you just need time to sort through things and get life back into perspective.

I have wine, black bin liners, music and munchies, so what can go wrong?!!!!!

I hope to clear my head, and be back better than ever next week.

Have a good Bank Holiday.

The Best News Ever....

by KACKERS @ Friday, 18. May, 2007 - 08:52:13

about my big Fella Vinnie!!!

He went in to the vets for the day and for the first time in 9 months, he got superb test results back!!

Now I have been very strict with him, stuck religiously to his special diet for the last 8 weeks and it has certainly paid off.

He had a great PH level, hardly any crystals in his bladder and 100% kidney function.

He is only 3 years old, and by getting all these levels sorted, I have increased his expected life with me by about 4 years!

In 2 weeks time, he has a change of diet (first time in 9 months) and goes onto a prescribed maintenance food and biscuit combination.

He will then have another set of tests after 4 weeks of the revised diet, and if he continues to stay as well and healthy as he currently is, then he will only have to go in for testing every 6 months.

This is good news for him, and great news for me as it costs me £55 every time he goes in for these tests, plus all the trauma of him being at the vets for a day or two.

I am so pleased and so happy to know that he is well and as healthy as my other boy Scooter, it is such a great relief.

So, for all your cat lovers, here is my favourite photo of Vinnie Vinchento, my beautiful Big Fella!

Disappointed? I was furious.....

by KACKERS @ Monday, 14. May, 2007 - 08:53:31

Though I don’t know why, it was to be expected.

I am, of course, referring to getting only 19 points on Saturday night.

I feel robbed as we had the perfect Eurovision style of song, and despite everything, we should have scored more points.

I knew that it would be a political farce, but I was still gutted!!!

Luckily though, for me, I had a few very good mates round who threw themselves into completeting score cards, offering general advice and offering tips!!!

We did have a really good laugh, and the evening was one of my favourites so far since I have been in my new flat!!!

Next year though, I want to go to a big party for Eurovision and experience the whole build up and competition.

Scooch – I still think that you were great and that we were robbed.

p.s I got a new swivel chair that was an additional highlight of the weekend, but it seems that I have already lost it to my Big Fella!!! Will try to get a cheeky photo to post!

Eurovision Heaven!!!!!

by KACKERS @ Friday, 11. May, 2007 - 09:12:26

This Saturday I will be firmly infront of my telly with a few choice good mates and will be watching Eurovision.

Now I don't care what you say and think, I LOVE IT......

It is a good night of fun and listening to Terry Wogan commentating is a must for all fans of dry humour!

I really can't wait and I am sure that all of us fuelled with booze will make for a good fun evening.....

We are also throwing all caution to the wind by having a huge take away feast too... and I am hoping it will be Chinese!

Last night my telly threw a wobbly moment, but I am hoping that all will be well for saturday, but I do have a spare telly on stand by just incase!!!!

Come on Scooch...... and make me giggle Tezza!!!!!

So Then....

by KACKERS @ Wednesday, 09. May, 2007 - 08:59:45

I woke up this morning, thought it was Tuesday and let my big fella out and then realised it was Wednesday and I should have taken him to the vets for his regular testing.

Doh!!! Bank Holidays can be just so confusing!

My 3 day weekend did indeed pass in a blaze of voddy, wine and Pimms, all of which were very enjoyable!!! Well, the parts that I remember were jolly good fun!!!! It was all spent in good company with people who I love spending time with.

I was going to be good, but I threw all caution to the wind but the next Bank Holiday I will be sooooo good and get loads done other than drinking and recovering! I will start to write a list soon and everything!

I seem to have lost my flow at the moment and keep getting home at night and just splodging and not really doing anything! I have dates for weddings and days out to sort out, arrangements to make and tons of other stuff to organise.

Tonight I feel will be spent with my calendar and diary, making the dates make sense and planning. I need to motivate myself again and get back into abit of a routine. I need to get back into list writing…. That’s what I need!

It often seems so easy to become lazy and so hard to motivate!!! I am on a mission though and nothing and no-one will stop me! The list queen will return in full flow…..

Hope you all had a good time off and enjoyed yourselves.

Keep smiling……….

Have A Good Bank Holiday....

by KACKERS @ Friday, 04. May, 2007 - 13:09:32

I have been slapped by the sore throat and groggy head monster in the night and not feeling too grand today.

Infact, I feel abit flat all round, but it will pass!!!!

I am sure that this will help... (image doctored and supplied by another person at another place....)

Smiling....

by KACKERS @ Thursday, 03. May, 2007 - 08:51:27

Thanks to Mumsgoinghippie for this truely lovely poem.

Read it and I bet you are smiling by the end of it!!!

Smiling is infectious
You catch it like the flu
When someone smiled at me today
I started smiling too
I walked around the corner
And someone saw me grin
When he smiled I realised
I had passed it on to him
I thought about the smile
And then realised its worth
A single smile like mine
Could travel round the earth
So if you feel a smile begin
Don't leave it undetected
Start an epidemic
And get the world infected.

I Feel So Happy!

by KACKERS @ Tuesday, 01. May, 2007 - 13:37:22

After having a weekend away at Tom's field and this weekend away at Santa Pod, I have transformed and feel like a new person!

It was my first couple of weekends away since I have been living on my own and just what I needed!!!

It was good to step back and take some time out, not cleaning and faffing about in the flat.

Seeing old and new mates, spending time laughing and joking has done me the world of good, and I really do feel so great!

Life is great and whilst I have to wait until Battlesbridge before I can afford to go away again, I feel so refreshed that even I can wait that long.

I love life and all the surprises that it brings each day.

I was a total lame lady though and spent the weekend enjoying myself so very much that I failed to take a single photo!!! Well, I was abit worse for wear so goodness how they would have turned out anyway!!!

The boys were not as good as last weekend for the lady upstairs, as they were very restless and both stopped eating until I returned home.

I think that it threw them to loose me for 2 weekends in a row, but luckily for us all it is a Bank Holiday so they can have my company for 3 days on the trot!!!!

Life is good and I hope anyone reading feels the love and has a random smile for me!!!!
