Well, tomorrow I head off about midday for a nice cruise to Santa Pod raceway.

I will mainly be bumbling in my van and am going to be part of the pit crew for a mate that is racing his van.

I hope to have some fab photo's of the weekend to post up on Tuesday when I return to work!!!

The lady upstairs is more than happy to look after the cats again in exchange for a bottle of Pims!!!

I am very excited as quite a few good mates will be there, so it will be a vodka soaked weekend and I will proabably need Monday to get my liver kick started again!!!!

Then I am being so good and having a break from going away until the 20th of May.

This will not thwart my drinking though, as I am having a Eurovision Song night which will involve vodka and cheering!!!!

Oh, and not forgetting the Bank Holiday, well it would be rude to be off 3 days and not have a tipple eh?!!!!

Well, that was most certainly one of the better 3 days of my life in what seems like an eternity!!!

I drove down to the New Forest with 2 other VW camper vans and owners and we meet up with loads of other owners and their vans, beetles and tents and had 3 days of heaven!!!

We stayed in small but perfectly formed camp site down in the heart of the New Forest and we had it all. The weather was just perfect, and it was jolly good to see faces, some who I knew and some who I had never met before.

It was a weekend of lazing about, drinking loads and generally chatting and wafting about aimlessly!!!

I was glad to be back out in my van, and I was shocked at just how much I had missed it all. It was also good to go away and be alone in the van with no-one else to worry about and good to be away from the flat and not spend 3 days cleaning and pottering about.

I did feel slightly weird being on my own again, but it was not as bad as I had thought. It made a refreshing change, and I just wish that I could afford to go away a lot more now I have had this taste of things. Money though will not allow and I really do not want to take the piss by keep asking the lady upstairs to watch my boys.

The lady upstairs said that the boys were very good and no trouble at all. That was quite handy as she is looking after them again this weekend whilst I go off to Santa Pod to watch some racing!!!

I am already brewing up to ask her to do another weekend in May!!! Still, I am thinking that a bottle of Pims and/or chocolate per weekend of babysitting may encourage her!!!!

I do feel very refreshed and relaxed and that being alone does have many more benefits than I had first realised.

Now don’t get me wrong, I would love to have another go at the relationship thing, but at the moment, I am in no real rush, which is kind of handy, as I am not exactly being swamped with offers!!!!!

That makes them feel like 10 days of flat out non stop working!

Honestly, I feel like I have been here for days on end without a break!

I am so looking forward to the weekend, though it will be a very busy one.

I have to get the van sorted out and get some miles on the clock and getting my new brakes bedded in before I embark on my trip to the New Forest next weekend.

I am sooooo excited about being away though very nervous as I have to leave my boys and they will have a surrogate mother for the weekend. I have a feeling that they will just hang about aimlessly waiting for me to return.

It is all abit trial and error.

I have my new car now, and I cannot stop running about and nipping everywhere!!! I love it the car as it is light, nippy and so economical to drive.

I am very happy and have so much to look forward too.

I am so rich and so lucky in many ways.

As I had no easter eggs, but I did have 3 slightly purple teeth and a very purple pair of lips and tongue this morning.

My weekend kin dof slipped past me really in a variation of voddy and red splishy sploshy.

I did feel bad about not ticking off the entire to do list at the weekend, but I soon got over it!!!!

It is a slow old start up today though.......

Well, the end is near.

The beautiful beefy Fatima the Golf VR6 is going at 6pm tonight.

She will be replaced by an R reg 1400 Polo.

I will save £250 per year on insurance, £125 per year on road tax and my petrol costs will go down by almost 50% a month.

It all makes sense, but I will miss my 3 litre beast when I feel the urge to put my foot down.

I must remember that when I go to pull out in the future to allow at least another 3 seconds extra!!!

I feel gutted but the money will make such a difference, just on the petrol alone each month.

Maybe one day I will have another beast, but for now, it is just not meant to be.

Now I just have to name and sex the new car......
I know.... it is almost too much to stand eh?

The excitement is making you all jealous, I can tell.
