Luckily for me, I have just grasped the challenge of the New Year and my new start, and I have to say that I am loving it all so far! You know how my mind works, and I have learnt many things lately, and the thing that has surprised me the most is me!!!!
I am not quite at the stage of burning my bra (not that anyone would notice a quick flicker of a flame) and wear man dungaree’s just yet, but I am certainly a lot stronger that I dared to imagine! I am thinking of getting training and becoming a female sumo wrestler I feel that strong!!! Ohh bad thoughts of me in a nappy eh?!!!
So, anyway, the cats and I are all settled in our lovely little one bedroom flat. Plenty of room for us, and plenty of space for me to have my bits round me and make a cosy little home. I am not going to fib, four people in the lounge is enough!!!! Still, small dinner parties are great! Have not got room for a table anywhere, so it’s classy dinner off trays whilst sitting on the sofa at my new place!!!!
The flat is so wicked and on a lovely quiet road so I feel really safe. There is a young woman upstairs that could be anything from 24 to 39!!! She is like a smaller version of the vicar of Dibley!!!! I have no worries here, I am warm, feel safe and am having a great time sorting stuff and having the worlds biggest ever life laundry!!!!
I have a lovely little garden with a sweet little 4 by 6 shed. The main of the garden is gravel, with a bit of decking, but I have lovely borders and a great wall for plants in the summer!! Easily pleased me!!!!
I have patio doors into the bedroom that go down the side of the flat and garden, so I can’t wait for the summer as it will be lovely to wake up too.
My plants have gone bonkers! They have almost trebled in size since I have been here as the front room, kitchen and bedroom all gets loads of light for most of the day. It will be lovely in the summer, can’t wait to sit out on my small decking area and having a glass of wine and reading a book or listening to music. Don’t get me wrong, its all small but more than enough for me on my own.
Being on my own is something that I find myself enjoying more than I thought I might! I am the queen of pottering round and I even turned my hand to lay carpets!!! I had bastard carpet burns on my knees, the side of my hand, my knuckles and on the bottom of my chin. I ached like a bastard for 3 days afterwards. I would not be in a hurry to do it again, that’s for sure. I did it though, and it’s not too bad as the first time wobbles were very well hidden!!!
The boys, well, where do I start? They stayed in for 10 days and I did not have an ounce of trouble from either of them. I had cat flap sorted and we went out together and explored the great outdoors. I am not sure that they were really that impressed as they have both turned into a pair of silly soft arses that stay in for about 21 hours a day! They are always in now!!!
Vinnie, alias the big fella who has this medical thing going on is like a totally different cat. I think that Richie was right, and he did have a man phobia. He gets all tarty with me, lying on his back and waiting to be tickled, and loves having big head rubs for twenty minutes at a time! He has not been ill, and looks so well and healthy that it’s like I have a different cat! Scooter, alias my Babycakes has just chilled to the point of no return!!! He is almost like a total flat cat now! His main object in life is to guard the cat flap against intruders and call out for food!!!! Mind you, this is the first winter I have had them for, so maybe as the weather warms up they may go back to their old ways of being outdoor more than indoor cats.
