As I am too busy to update at the moment!!!

Now I wish that I could send the entries directly via my mobile, but I feel that is just way too advanced for me!!!

So, a quick round up....

Vinnie - alias the Big Fella is on his second wind and is turning out to be a really fun filled cat with a very gentle and loving side! He is such a beautiful boy and I am so pleased that he is still with us and getting so well and healthy!

Scooter - alias Babycakes is happy that the Big Fella is well as it means more fun and games for him! They are working out that if they do double trouble attacks on moving things in the garden, they seem to be alot more sucessfull with the larger leaves that dare to float past!!!

Life in general - top top! It is all good, though as with everyone else, could do with more time off work, more money and a bigger place to live at no charge to myself!!!!

We had the best ever weekend, and it was just perfect in some many ways!!!

On Saturday we had the honour of watching the 2 loveliest ladies in the world, legally get married. 2 years ago they had a civil ceremony, but now it is all legal, they decided to do it again. My man was their best man and I just swelled with pride all day.

I am not ashamed to say that I welled up, recovered, ate my 3 course meal and stayed at the party till silly o’clock in the morning!!!

It was my first big do that I have attended and stayed sober through. I did think, in the back of my mind, that I would really struggle with socialising and being my normal mad self. I can’t lie, there were periods when I would have sold my soul for a double vodka, but luckily it always passed pretty quickly.

The big turning point for me really was waking up yesterday morning, and apart from feeling really tired, I was still more than capable of getting loads of stuff done, all be it a leisurely pace!!!

The special man started by having a few drinks, but then he stopped too!! At this rate we will both be tea total in no time at all!!!

Me and Him had the best Sunday ever, just pottering about, getting bits and bobs done whilst watching the athletics and motor sport that was on for most of the day. I made us a lovely meal and we sat and chilled and had a lovely evening.

Cat News

Well I am so happy to tell you that the big fella is coming on in leaps and bounds. When we rescued him 10 weeks ago, he was described as a friendly fun loving and affectionate cat and to be honest, we though that the woman had told us fibs as he was nothing like that when we took him home!!

Well, I am so happy as he has been playing all weekend, making friends with my baby boy Scooter (another cat incase you are wondering) and just being a really lovely cat.

He is eating me out of house and home at the moment, but after all the worry and stress, I will let him eat like a looney till Friday, when he goes back to the vet for his check up.

Right, if you made it to this point… well done and todays update is formally concluded!!!!

Well, we have had another worrying time with the Big Fella.

He went drastically down hill within 24 hours of ending his antibiotics.

We then took him back to the vets and he was kept in for 2 days and the night between.

I was distraught as I really thought that we were going to loose him.

Well, he has another massive infection that almost caused him to go into toxic shock.

He has now had 4 injections, another course of antibiotics for 5 days and he also had to suffer a jolly good talking too from me, telling him that I needed him to stop all this carry on.

I think that he took note as he is slowly getting better. He just wants to be left alone to sit and sleep and rest to allow his body to recover.

He is still subdued and not really happy about things, but hopefully he senses that I am only trying to help him to get better and live life to the max.

So, due to that worry and our work systems randomly crashing, the internet randomly appearing and then disappearing, it has been impossible for me to update.

Good thing that my regular reader is a patient soul eh?!!!

Here are my 2 boys having their usual 7 hour nap during the day!!!!

The Big Fella Vinnie is making progress, though it has been very erractic. I am confident that he will be ok, but he has to go back to the vets Monday for another batch of tests.

I just hope that he gets the all clear and that he does not have to spend the rest of his life without ever being able to have treats!!!

We have a bit of a bonus this weekend as our show has been cancelled so we got a weekend at home. We have the special mans mother round for the day Sunday, so that will be fun as she has not been to see him for years at his flat!!!
