I am so pleased to say that last night all the tablets and injections must have kicked in as I now have the most loving and playful cat ever again!!!

Infact, in the 6 weeks that we have had him, I have never seen him so happy and so full of life!!!

I am so happy as he is a lovely fella and seems to be making amazing progress.

He was so loved up and so happy that he even played with my other boy Scooter this morning as they chased leaves in the garden!!!!

I just can't stop smiling and telling everyone at work about him this morning!!!! Luckily the 4 ladies I work with all have rescue cats too!!!

Here is a photo of Scooter in his favourite place in the garden, our palm tree!!! Everytime I fill the watering can from the outside tap, he runs up this tree and watches me, just like this!!!!

I have had a bit of a scare as my big fella Vinnie was a bit under the weather whilst I had my day off on Friday.

Saturday he seemed lazy and there was something that I just could not put my finger on about him and the way he was acting. Sunday we went out for the day and when we got home, I knew something was not right as he was just not his usual grumpy self and just could not bare to be parted from me!

All was revealed on Monday at a visit to the vets as he had dug about 30 holes round the garden on Sunday and all of them were empty.

Turns out that my big fella had a serious urinary infection and if I had of left him, he may well have died.

The vet thinks that we caught it early so the big fella is on a restricted diet, a tablet every morning and lots of water for the next fortnight. He will then be tested again and hopefully he will be all clear.

He is not happy as he really is not keen on the special food that he has to eat, but the vet did say that I could put one or two tablespoons of cod in with it to encourage him to eat.

I am pleased to report that he is improving greatly and played for a short time last night, and he actually went out on the prowl for a couple of hours early this morning.

It has been a really busy time both in and out of work so this record of my life has just been pushed to the back of my things to do!!!!

My news so far….

Well the new VW VR6 is still purring and running like a dream so I am well happy with that.

The VW Camper van has had a petrol leak fixed and some major engine fiddling and tuning and now he is purring, and running smoother and faster.

The cats, Scooter and Big Vinnie are starting to bond and have worked out that if they launch joint attacks on me with starving faces, that the chances of a treat are doubled!!!

They are settling nicely and I am really happy with recent progress.

Todays excitement here is two fold……

1 – We are going away on Saturday to BUG JAM at Santa Pod raceway and I am just way past the just excited frame of mind.

2 – I have just got my new to me, though it is second hand, digital camera!!!! I am so excited so there is bound much excitement tonight as we test it to the max!!!

I will now, with my digital camera, make more of an effort to keep up with this diary. I am off from Thursday to Friday, as we are not online at home, I will have to tease you all and post on Tuesday!!!!

What a tease eh?! Mind you, there will be photos tomorrow, so you can lay awake all night now looking forward to seeing the cats and whatever else stands in my path whilst looking through the new camera!!!

I am so happy with life at the moment. I just think that I need to share it all with you again!!!
