I suspect it is all linked to the cat flap. There is something about it that turns my mild mannered soft as you like cat into a quivering and paranoid mess!!!!
I watch him approach the cat flap from the outer door, then he slowly pushes a paw through first and then follows with his body in a long slinky like movement.
Well, that is how things started, but last night, the cat flap took on a whole new look and feel that resulted in manic cat and endless fun.
Last night, he had the preverbal wind up his arse.
He was in and out the cat flap like a lunatic, fighting the door, jumping through like he had the biggest cat eating monster in the world chasing him down.
The thing that was making me laugh the most was the way he hurtles his body through the cat flap, turns round and attacks the cat flap, does some mad leap in the air and then strolls over, looking at me as if the last few minutes had never happened.
He just would not leave it last night, but once the flap was locked, well that was it… the battle was over and calm was restored, the monster was gone!
He is such a funny cat, but it is nice to see him playing so much after being with us for such a short time. I think that we can safely say he has made himself at home.
I dread to think what he gets up to during the day, though I have a sneaky suspicion that all he does is sleep!! He always looks like he has just woken up everyday when I walk through the door!
Tonight, I am off to see Oz Floyd with my special man and another couple. I can’t wait. I hear nothing but good things!
p.s WOW!!! Trace and Terry..... after all this time!!! So good to see ya both in the virtual sense!!!
